Robert R. Clark has been cited by jurors and fellow artists for his skillful craftsmanship and sensitivity to color, shape, and values which create an illusion of reality. His excellence as an artist has been recognized through exhibits, awards, art associations and purchases. Since his first juried show in 1983, he has won over 60 awards, including two Best of Shows and six First Places, in international, national, as well as in regional and local shows. In recognition of his skill as a painter of miniature art, two of his paintings were selected to hang in the Third Exhibition of the World Federation of Miniaturists, at the Smithsonian's International Gallery during the summer of 2004. His formal art studies include classes and workshops throughout the U.S. In addition to his artistic training, he has degrees from the Universities of Miami, Ohio State and Michigan, where he received a Ph.D in Music. in 1989 he moved to North Carolina to actively pursue a fultime career as an artist. His home and studio are now located in a beautiful high mountain valley in Utah.
